FAQs About Our Products
What are Bottiful Home bottles made of?
Bottiful Home bottles are made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic. This plastic is food-safe, environmentally-friendly (easily recycled), non-leaching and toxin and BPA-free. PET plastic is recycle code 1 and is accepted in most curbside recycling programs in the USA.
Are the printed designs waterproof, even in the shower?
Some of our refillable bottle sets are silk-screen printed at the factory. All our printed bottles have been tested to be waterproof, even when exposed to constant water and humidity and even when combined with frequent handling. This doesn't mean they're scratch-proof though! Please don't use abrasives, sponge erasers or harsh chemicals on the designs to prevent damage. Simply rinse with water and wipe off with a cloth, and your bottles will look brand new.
What is a lotion pump?
We use primarily lotion pumps on all our bottles, except our foaming pump bottles. A lotion pump is a pump that’s designed specifically to be used with thicker, high-viscosity liquids. It is the best pump for liquids such as shampoos, conditioners, lotions and thicker soaps. Bottiful Home uses only lotion pumps in all its refillable bottles.
We also have a video you can watch explaining what a lotion pump is. You can watch it here:

How do I unlock my pumps?
To unlock your Bottiful Home bottle pumps, please ensure safety clips are removed from the neck of the pump. While holding the largest part of the white tube in one hand, use the other hand to twist the pump head in the direction of the arrow on top until you can easily depress the pump head. You may hear or feel a slight “click” when the pump locks/unlocks.
Watch this video to see how to do it:

How do I get my pump to face the front of the bottle without locking up?
If you have one of our pumps that locks and unlocks without popping up/down, then you can't just twist the pump without it locking. Here's how you face the pump and direction you like without locking it up: Just remove the pump, unlock it (if it’s locked), then hold the pump head in your desired position while tightening the pump neck back onto the bottle.

Where are Bottiful Home products made?
Bottiful Home is USA based business and offers products that are made in the USA as well as products that are imported. Our imported products are primarily made in China, and we are proud of our well-established manufacturing processes in both the US and China. Our products are made from safe plastic materials, tested to meet the US standards for safety and chemical composition with the utmost care and precision.
How are plastic bottles made?
PET plastic bottles start out in the form of plastic pellets made in whatever color the bottles will eventually be. Then the pellets are melted into a structure called a “preform”. The preform has threading at the top but no real bottle shape yet. Then the preforms are heated to a specific temperature to allow for melting into shape and are blown into a mold, a process known as blow-molding. The bottles are quickly cooled to maintain shape, then printed, filled, and capped, all by machines.

FAQs About Our Business
How did Bottiful Home get started?
Founder, Laura Pallotta, saw a need for a product that could take the ugly drug-store shelf look out of the shower and replace it with a highly functional and beautiful refillable bottle that was also easy to use.
Laura was one of the first companies in the US to recognize this need and started a trend that now includes many options and configurations on the market.
Watch this rudimentary video with Laura describing the discovery of this need and the trials she encountered trying to meet this need:

How much does shipping cost?
Yes. There was a time when Bottiful Home was able to offer free shipping on all orders. That time has passed. But we believe the minimal shipping charge of $5.95 per order less than $50 is a fair compromise to partially offset the rising costs of transporting goods. All orders over $50 currently ship free.
We reserve the right to change our shipping fee charges and policy from time to time and at any time with or without notice to you of the change. The transportation industry is an ever-evolving space, and we need to remain flexible in order to continue offering quality goods for a great value.

Where can I buy Bottiful Home products?
We are an ever-expanding business offering solutions to increasing bottle needs. You can find our complete catalog of products offered on this website. We also sell select products through other marketplaces like Amazon, Walmart, Google and Ebay.
Whenever you're searching for Bottiful Home products, make sure you check the price on several sites if you're not buying from our website. Other marketplaces allow for third party sellers to sell our products, but you'll notice they are charging A LOT more than we are. That's because they have to buy from us then ship to you. They will take the difference in price for themselves. We don't like these practices because we always want you to get our best pricing, but we have no control over it.
