Overview
Foaming soap pumps are not the same as regular lotion or soap pumps.
And a bottle made for a lotion or soap pump will not work on a bottle made for foaming pumps.
A foaming pump is designed to mix low concentration liquid soap with air so the product dispenses as foam.
A standard lotion pump will not create foam, and a foaming pump usually will not work with thick, undiluted soap.
Use this page to compare foaming soap replacement pump options for bottles that are already designed for this type of pump.
Before buying, confirm your bottle’s neck size, thread finish, opening width, and height.
Foam pumps can be harder to replace than standard lotion pumps because you need a wide enough opening for the foaming mechanism, you need to match the thread exactly, and few retailers offer foam pump replacements.

How to Choose a Foaming Soap Pump
Choosing a foaming soap pump starts with confirming that your bottle is actually made for foaming soap.
Foam pumps are different from regular lotion pumps.
And they're not interchangeable.
Start by checking your bottle’s neck size and thread finish.
Common bottle sizes may look similar, but a pump needs to match both the diameter and the threading to screw on correctly.
Never buy from a listing that says "fits between X and Y millimeters or inches wide".
That's a good way to get the wrong pump for your bottle.
Next, check the pump housing.
See this article for an image of all the parts of a common bottle pump.
The lower part of a foaming pump that goes into the bottle will be wider than the housing on a soap or lotion pump.
This is one reason foam pumps can be harder to replace than regular lotion pumps.
They only fit into bottles with wider openings.
Also pay attention to the dip tube length.
If the tube is too long, it can usually be trimmed, but if it's too short, it may not reach the bottom of the bottle.
Finally, consider the soap mixture.
You can only use foam soap with foaming pumps.
Don't try to use a foaming pump with gel based soaps or liquid soaps that are undiluted.
Important Fit Notes
Most "standard" foaming bottles made in the USA will take a slightly different size pump than those made overseas.
For example, my foaming bottles take 42mm foam pumps, but most foam pumps that are easy to find in the US are threaded to 43mm or 40mm.
And, no, they're not interchangeable.
1 millimeter does make a different in pump fit.
Also, dip tube length can be shortened with a pair of good scissors, but you can't make them longer to fit your bottle.
Availability in the Marketplace
As of the writing of this post, there are very few options for foam soap replacement pumps.
You may not have the option of being choosy about the color or material you want due to the relative scarcity of listings that exist for foam soap pump replacements.
Just know that Amazon, Walmart and other online retailers will ship fast but they won't always have the best selection.
So make sure to check out wholesalers and other sites as well.
